Dawson Patterson, Staffer
Senior Dawson Patterson is a fourth-year returning member of the SHHS newspaper team. When he started taking newspaper during his first year, he was just trying something new. He ended up loving it and is here three years later in his fourth year of high school, having learned much about journalistic writing. While he hasn't been in any clubs during his time at Smoky Hill, he still has enjoyed his four years of being on the newspaper team and cherishes all that he has learned as a reporter. In his spare time, he enjoys reading fantasy novels like The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. He also enjoys playing video games and drawing maps for fantasy worlds. Dawson is an excellent writer, and very passionate about what he does. He loves the outdoors, and would always prefer to be in nature rather than inside. He is an overall likable person and likes to help people, no matter what problem they are facing. He is a person who speaks up against wrongdoing and is very involved with his community, volunteering at events for his church youth group, and always helping out in whatever way he can, no matter the circumstances or situation.
