Zakary Peterson, Co-Editor
Junior Zakary Peterson is a first year staffer at SmokyNow. Along with being involved in Newspaper, Peterson is very interested in politics, both national and international as well as culinary arts. He is currently a part of a restaurant management competition team that will present a comprehensive overview of a food-truck restaurant. Peterson is also involved in a community leadership club, FCCLA, that helps organize and run community-focused events such as a canned food drive. He plans to become a dietitian because of his passion for culinary and business.
In his free-time, Peterson likes to read about current events, listen to daily news podcasts, and read political/argument based books. Peterson is in all honors classes which will provide for a very robust but hopefully rewarding year, as well as learning the Spanish language and culture. He also enjoys listening to music, specifically Latin pop; his favorite musician is Natalia Lafourcade. With a combination of 6 years of Spanish classes and learning of Latin American culture, Peterson is fluent in Spanish and hopes to continue to learn it throughout his life.
