This upcoming weekend is going to be a long one for students in the Cherry Creek School District. This weekend is a four day weekend because of Presidents Day on monday, February 19th and then a teacher work day on tuesday, February 20th.

 Some of your fellow students are willing to share their plans for the long weekend.

 Sophomore Deonte Rivers a lacrosse player at Smoky Hill plans on being active this weekend. “This weekend I’m going to hang out with some friends and play some lacrosse” Rivers said. “ Also my grandma is coming into town so I’m going to be spending time with her.”

 When Rivers was asked if we need a four day weekend he said “I really need a break from school so I can catch up and this long weekend is the perfect time to do it.”

 Another student willing to share their plans is Bryan Pearson. Bryan plays soccer for Smoky and a club team.

 Brian said “I’m going to a get together on Saturday night but other than that I’m probably going to be playing Fortnite.” ( A survival game that all kids are playing.) When Pearson was asked If we need the break he said “I think it’s a nice little break but I would rather have a full week off.”

 This break is very important to the students especially these two giving the students a time to relax and come back to school refreshed.
