IB and Advanced Art Gallery At Smoky Hill

  • On April 19th, the lecture center held an art show for all of the work from the Ib and advanced art classes. One of the artists, Sam Holguin based his art off of his High school experience.

  • Riley Chapman stated that they based their art off of social problems.

  • Lorenzo Garrido made his art because he likes jellyfish, that’s all.

  • Evan Williams infused their art with numbness to represent the feeling of numbness. They showed actual numbness in the arm of their other piece “Interpreter” was based on trying to like get past artist’s block.

  • Nora Assougdam made her art based off of body image and her culture.

  • Rei Al Qatan’s art was made based off of shows and other forms of media that they watch.

  • Li Finan made their art from tv shows and movies. Their piece “Thirteen-Eighteen” was a model of their room biased off of memory.

  • Khavi Mack’s art stems from his struggles and growth as a human being. His struggles with depression .
