With the statewide standardized testing dates fast approaching, taking place from April 15-26, some students may feel that these institutionalized assessment practices are not what is best suited towards the achievement of their future plans, leading many towards the choice of opting out.
The PSAT, SAT, and CMAS exams are often considered pillars of the modern American education system, all these taking place over the course of April 17-24 at Smoky Hill, but for those who feel these tests don’t align with their goals or beliefs the process of opting out is a relatively straightforward 3 steps.
A Step by Step Guide to Opting Out:
*All steps must be completed by a parent or guardian
- Log into my.cherrycreekschools.org
- Access the Parent Portal
- Select and complete the parent exemption from state assessment form
