This morning I was on my way to school I opened Snapchat to find a peer blowing smoke into the vape detectors.
According to Colorado Public Radio, “26% of all Colorado high school students vape.”
This is becoming a very large issue around the district.
Many students smoke in the bathrooms during school hours. To stop this bad behavior many schools are starting to install vape detectors in their bathrooms.
Many of the students are very defiant of this. Circling throughout social media, students are posting videos and pictures of them blowing smoke into the detectors.
These defiant actions may signify a lack of effectiveness, or simply a student refusal to abide by school regulations.
