As the semester comes to an end, students reflect on what the Fall semester was like and the interesting things they learned from it. Students this semester have been studying and getting ready for finals over the 18 weeks and are looking forward to winter break. Students had a lot to share about what they had been studying this semester.
“The most interesting thing I studied this semester was probably Japanese, I’ve been learning Japanese for two years now and I think it’s a very interesting language,” Ben Luedtke (11) said.
Another student shares the same interests with the Japanese language department.
“Japanese was my most interesting topic because I have family members that speak Japanese so I have a good use for it but I also just like learning new languages. Japanese has been a good skill to have and has been a lot of fun this semester,” Grady Baker (10) said.
Students discuss other subjects they have been involved in.
“Right now I’m doing compound balancing in chemistry and I think that’s pretty interesting,” Jonathan Fonseca (10) said, “And all of chemistry has been interesting this semester. ”
Other core classes offered are interesting for students.
“The most interesting thing I learned was geometry because I like math but I like geometry specifically because I think it’s easier to learn something that I can see,” Keegan Kranz (9) said.
World language and core classes both have students looking forward to next semester. As this semester ends, it is time for students to destress over winter break and get ready for the second semester.
