Students hang out in the upper 100s during 1R
Students at Smoky Hill High School are only required to take 6 classes in an 8 class schedule. This leaves two class periods when kids aren’t required to be anywhere. Students with 1R off shared with us how they spend their time.
Ruth Girma (10) said, “I like to do my work, catch up on work and the Innovation Spaces are really nice,”
Alyssa Burel (9) said, “We ask questions, we hang out with people, [and get on] TikTok,”
Amari Glay (9) said, “We just hangout and I wish there was more seats because it’s a little boring looking, like maybe a couch or something,”
