The Cherry Creek School District has been creating a new plan that will take effect for students graduating in 2021. The new plan is called the 2021 plan.

CCSD is asking members of the community to provide some input into the 2021 plan as well.  They want to know what the community thinks about what new programs the schools should offer to students and other curriculum improvements they could make so that students graduating in 2021 will be on track for college or whatever they choose to do after school.

CCSD is also getting feedback from students who have already graduated from high school on how prepared they felt for college and how well did they think the high school curriculum helped them prepare. When the plans first draft is finished CCSD will release it to the community to get more feedback on the plan.

CCSD has been holding meetings about the 2021 plan. The first meeting the district held discussing the meeting was Aug, 26, at Grandview High School.  There are another two meetings that community members could attend and provide their input on the new plan, Sept,21, at Smoky Hill High school( has already passed) and another meeting Oct,20, at Cherokee Trail High School.

In 2006 the Cherry Creek District tried to create the same plan and help change some of the current programs and teachings so that students would be ready for college. If community members can not make any of the meetings they can fill out a survey online at www.cherrycreekschools.org
