Boys Soccer Smoky Hill Vs Arapahoe

Our boys did their best…

Amira Marie, Staffer

Our boys Soccer team took on our rivals, the Arapahoe Warriors, at home on Monday. Both teams were at full force throughout the first half. Goalkeeper Pedro Alvarado had blocked several possible goals before Arapahoe went on to score.

The first half ended with a 2-0 lead from Arapahoe. Our boys continued to persevere through the second half, clearly becoming more frustrated. The game ended with a 6-0 win for Arapahoe. Midfielder Andrew Lopez, believed the loss to be due to the bad communication in the team, “We can prepare better next time by motivating one another and communicating better.” Andrew Lopez, exemplified some phenomenal soccer and leadership skills throughout the course of the game.

Our boys Soccer team are a group of hardworking boys who continue to strive and support one another regardless of the score. It is crucial that we continue to back our boys in this strenuous season. Make a sign representing our school team and go to a game this week, I’m sure the boys will really appreciate the motivational reinforcement!
