President Trump on Tuesday (Sept. 31) ordered an end to the Obama-era program that protects young undocumented immigrants from deportation (DACA; Deferred Action for Childhood), calling it an “amnesty-first approach” and advising Congress to pass a replacement before he begins phasing out its protections in six months and has asked Congress to address the issue of children of parents who are in the country illegally.
