Cri Palone-Zentz, a junior, recently got his first tattoo. It’s a small written one on his wrist, saying “Family” when flipped one way, and his stepdad’s last name, Palone, when flipped the other way.

“My stepdad raised me my whole life, so we decided to get a family tattoo. I wanted to symbolize the connection I have with him, permanently,” Cri said.

Senior Alana Behrens showed off a tattoo on her upper right forearm. It showcases three figures dancing under the sun.

“It represents my family because it’s always been my mom, sister, and I. There’s three dancing figures because I feel like you should go through life dancing,” Behrens said.

Senior Tess Durrell spoke about the small frog tattoo she has. The frog, wearing a crown, is on her ankle.

When asked about the meaning behind it, Tess gave a very heartfelt story.

“I got this in connection to my family. So my mom’s maiden name is ‘Prince’ and my grandma’s favorite animal is a frog. A family emblem for us is the Frog Prince. My grandma also says she kissed a frog and married a prince, referring to my grandpa,” she said.
