Parents of the Smoky Hill community were informed by email from Chuck Puga, the school principal, that a student passed away Tuesday night after a lacrosse game.

According to social media, that student is freshman Kristin Callbeck.

The Cherry Creek School District Crisis Response Team is available in the counseling offices for students who need support.
