Joseph Kabela (12) has already got his eye on Colorado State University (CSU), but is still currently looking at out-of-state colleges. “I wanna try for some out-of-state colleges because I have some friends who are out-of-state, so I’m trying to keep my options open,” Kabela said.

In white, Layla Growdy (9), feels that an abroad school is where she would like to attend. “I really want to be a therapist and I feel that a lot of good skills for that are out of [the] country,” Growdy said.

Kate Fuina (11), is currently looking at colleges for crime and physiology majors. Fuina currently has her eye on two. “I’m mostly looking at the University of Oregon and the University of Nebraska because both seem to have really good programs for what I want to go into,” Fuina said. Fuina has already started visiting college campuses to get a good idea on what she wants to apply for next year.

Ivana Botchway (9), is looking for colleges with big art programs. “I have a very big passion for art and it’s something I really wanna do when I get older,” Botchway said. Botchway is looking for out-of-state art colleges to go to in the future.

Zaequan Reed (10) feels that choosing his college is based on track and field and the programs that go along with it. “For me, I want to run in college, so looking at colleges with good track and field teams is something that means a lot,” Reed said. Reed currently has his eye set on the University of Oregon and also the University of Nebraska.

Anyla Brin (9) and Kenna Headlin (9) are both getting a feel for what colleges they may want to attend later down the road. “I’m currently just looking at what each [schools] have to offer and what will also be cheaper,” Headlin said. While Brin feels similar, she also has different concerns. “Mostly, I’m just looking around because I know I’ll probably want to do something when I’m a senior,” Brin said. Both Brin and Headlin currently have their eyes on colleges and are still looking for more variety and opportunity.
