IMG_0626On Tuesday, May 13, 2014, Michael Jackson’s second posthumous album called Xscape is going to be released in stores. The album features eight tracks of his vocals recorded from 1983 to 1999 of his unreleased material.

Producer L.A Reid is bringing Michael Jackson’s songs back to life. Reid and his fellow producers went through his musical vault and set out to try to create new songs for the album based only on Jackson’s vocal tracks with no remixes. Some of the producers working on the song include: Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, and J-Roc.

The most successful song on the album is the first single “Love Never Felt So Good,” written by both by Jackson and Paul Anka in 1983 and reproduced by L.A Reid and his producers. According to www.kansascity.com, “early reviews have been largely favorable – the album has hit written all over it – some grumpy fans and critics feel that the new album is exploiting Michael’s treasury of unfinished work.”

There is also a bonus disc being released that allows listeners to hear the original songs as they were recorded before the producers mixed them.  According to  the New York Daily News, it adds even more great songs to his body of work. “Even better,” they say, “ it makes him sound, once again, alive.”
