Steps to plan for Success in the Fall
It’s never to early to be successful…
May 13, 2016
Even though the school year hasn’t ended yet, it doesn’t mean that it’s too early to start planning for next year. Here are four steps on how to be successful in the Fall.
- Get your Priorities Straight: What do you want to be different next year?? Student’s should have this question in mind when they are writing their goals.
- Figure out an Organizational System: This includes time management and what supplies you might need to organize papers and notes. Keep what classes you are thinking about taking next year in mind when buying school supplies. For example, if you know a certain teacher requires a certain notebook just for them, get one.
- Make Sure the Classes you are taking are the one’s you need: Student’s make sure you talk to your counselor about what credit’s you are missing. (You should’ve done this during scheduled conferences however, if you want to change your classes, talk to them and see what you can do.) For junior’s if you haven’t already, make sure you have had your junior conferences and schedule them if you haven’t. This is very important because it makes sure you are on track with your classes and preparing for college.
- Practice Concentration Methods to help you keep focused: Making a playlist of songs for studying is a good idea so that way you aren’t tempted to browse your phone. Chewing gum will jog your memory and meditation will get rid of stress.
I hope these helped. Please have a safe summer.
