Smoky Hill Buffaloes star forward Kenny Foster went down in game one of the Great Western Shootout. Taking him out of the next two games of the tournament. Despite the nasty looking injury, tests were negative in terms of a long term injury and Foster is expected to return to the court sooner than later.

After going to the hospital in Utah, Foster would told he sprained his left knee and ankle. Foster hopes to be back within the next few weeks, but hasn’t been told an exact date that he can return to action. The Buffaloes play a big game on Wednesday, December 13th. Without Foster in the lineup that could really affect what the Buffaloes game plan going into the game will be.

The Buffaloes played two games in the tournament without Foster and started senior Eric Williams who played well in Foster’s absence. Williams worked extremely hard making a bunch of hustle plays to change the outcome in games. He was a great help for the Buffaloes, but just isn’t enough to replace a player like Foster.

The team has a lot of talent and can keep it together for the moment, but how long can they really play and win without Foster in the lineup.
