Charlie and The Chocolate Factory is a great movie that almost everyone knows. The Smoky Hill drama class are preparing for this play which comes out on February 16th and February 17th. There are two students that were interviewed that are helping out with the play.

Junior, Victoria Walton is a side character of the play. Walton was asked a couple of questions about the play.

The first question asked was, “What days do you practice to prepare for the play?” Walton answered, “ We practice everyday after school from 3:45 to 5:30, when it gets closer to the show we will have to practice more and spend more time on it.”

“I play the character Mike TV and I like the fact that I get to play a boy, It’s something that I’ve never been able to do that before and I get to experience from a different perspective entirely,” said Walton.

Senior, Nick Atkins, is currently helping build the set for Charlie and The Charlie Factory. Atkins was asked a couple of questions about how he builds the set. The first question was,  How long does it take to set up the set in the play? Atkins replied saying,

“ It usually takes a couple of weeks to set up the play because it takes a while to set up everything and then put it in the right places.”

“Some of the helpers coe during their off or when we’re in Tech Theatre class, so we have plenty of time to work on the set since it doesn’t come out till February,” said Atkins
