Boys Basketball Ticket Sales

The Varsity boys ticket sales have been booming for the first half of the season.

With the growing success of the Smoky Hill Basketball team the tickets have not only increased in sales, but have grown to be a must have for basketball in all of the centennial league. On average, the gym has sold nine hundred tickets per game.

The Smoky Hill athletic director, John Thompson said, “ The Smoky Hill gym can hold one thousand four hundred people, but if we sell out, it’s only one thousand two hundred fifty because of seating issues we’ve had before.” In the past ten years, we’ve sold out the stampede five times including this seasons matchup against the George Washington Patriots. We’ve started selling tickets due to the success of our team and the amount of people wanting to get in to see the Buffaloes play.

A lot of tickets are sold to the “Sixth Man”, also known as the Smoky Hill students and student section. John Thompson said, “ sixty five percent of tickets go to adults and non student supporters and the other thirty five go to students.” The tickets are sold about three days in advance of the games and are sold to students just outside of the activities office. For non- Smoky kids and parents tickets are sold online or outside the gym before games. Don’t miss out on the rest of the season and go get your tickets for the rest of the 17-18 season.
