World Awareness Applications are now available in The Activities Office.

World Awareness is when students give presentations about their culture or something they are interested in.

¨They can give all kinds of presentations – Powerpoint lectures, dancing, music, historical, etc.  We had 93 presentations last year.¨ Scott Cohen, the activities director said.

But there is a process.

¨First step is to turn in an applications.  I look it over and make sure it is a topic that we feels is appropriate for World Awareness.¨ Cohen said.

Spots will fill up fast so any student who is interested in participating in World Awareness week should apply fast.

¨We had 93 scheduled last year.  That was cut in half due to a snow day.” Said Cohan. “ We still had over 200 of our own students present on the one day we had World Awareness last year.”
