IMG_91921PARCC testing continues Monday, the 16th. Students who will take the test will be tested on their mathematical skills.

Testers will be tested in the rooms they tested in last Monday and Tuesday, and room information was given out by math teachers during class of the week Mar. 2.

Pencil and scratch paper will be provided for students during the testing sessions. Calculators will be available through the Test-Nav computer platform. During the test students are allowed to use calculators of their own, however the calculator has to be a TI-84 or a similar type.

Smoky Hill High School will not be giving out calculators to students. Students with handheld calculators will have to get the calculators memory deleted before and after the test.

On testing days, breakfast will be served from 6:40 a.m. to 7:05 a.m. and lunch will NOT be served. Water and snacks will be provided for student during test breaks, but food and water is not allowed anywhere in the testing room.

Electronics like phones, Ipods, and Ipads are not allowed in testing rooms. They are prefered to be kept at home or in lockers.

If students were absent on the day of testing they will have to make it up during scheduled times. Make-up sessions will be held during school days, requiring students to miss classes.

“Just try your best and don’t over stress about it,” sophomore Emilee Habernal said.
