There are a lot of Superhero movies coming out this year.

The first Superhero movie,“Deadpool” which came out last month, was a big hit grossing $731 million against a $58 million budget.

Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice is expected to come out March 25, 2016, Captain America: Civil War: May 6, 2016, X-Men: Apocalypse: May 27, 2016, Suicide Squad: August 5, 2016, Gambit: October 7, 2016, Doctor Strange: November 4, 2016, Sinister Six: November 11, 2016.

“[I’m excited to see] X Men Apocalypse,” Junior Sierra Gray said. “I still haven’t seen Deadpool

Gray has been reading comic books since she was 5-years-old after her dad introduced her to her first comic.

“My favorite comic is X-men. “ I think the reason I like it so much is because it’s the first comic that I read as a child that really introduced me to becoming a fan of other comics,” Gray said. “I also just really liked watching the movies growing up.”

Throughout Grays childhood, she has mostly read Marvel comics.

“I grew up loving Marvel you know,” says Gray. “[They’re] the first kind of movies that really brought me up to liking Superheroes. My dad only owns Marvel comics, I mean a couple of DC too, but I have more of a connection [with Marvel].”

Gray’s favorite character is Wolverine because his story and powers are different and unique in a way that is different from the other characters.

“[He has a] different background story compared them [other characters] and how his history and [what] he’s been through to be a superhero, [is] just unique.” Gray said. “None else has claws, and other people have like fire and ice or whatever elemental thing, but that’s why I like wolverine just because he’s unique.”

A lot of people think that there is only one Green Lantern but that is not true. According to i09.com, there are four green lanterns. Hal Jordan, is the most well recognized Green Lantern who was a former Air Force pilot. He now works as a test pilot for Ferris Aircraft

Jordan was first introduced in 1961 Abin Sur, crashes on Earth, and the ring selects him as the nearest suitable candidate.

A movie was made back in 2011 starring Ryan Reynolds as the main character and Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, Green Lanterns friend.

“Green lantern was pretty down,” Grey said. “I think it could’ve been produced and created in a way better way then it was. “I mean the superhero himself is pretty cool and I think that maybe if they had created the storyline more based on the comics, it would’ve been better.”

For someone first starting to read comic books, “I would [start with] the avengers because they are a really great group of superheroes that have different kinds of personalities that maybe a person who is a comic book could kinds get into especially with their different abilities,” Gray said.
