Oh No! Snow!
On Wednesday morning Smoky Hill student woke up to about six inches of snow, the temperature drops to about -12 degrees.
The snow made it difficult for students to get to school. Stephanie Alfaro said,”I was late, but they gave out winter warning passes instead of tardy passes which was really helpful because many kids were late.”
Many students like Lenay Fairfax had to walk to school in the below freezing conditions, “I left 10 minutes early to make it to the bus stop and every time I took my hand out of my pocket my hand felt frozen, it was ridiculous” Lenay said, “I almost slipped, but thankfully I was able to hold on to a pole next to me.”
