Art teacher Jennifer Funell is no longer the sponsor of Duct Tape club. The new sponsor, math teacher Cynthia Tait, was asked by one of the students to take over after Funell resigned.

Freshman, Rachel Hearn said she enjoyed the club very much and was disappointed to learn that there might not be a Duct Tape club anymore. “We were all very worried at first. We weren’t sure what was going to happen,” Hearn said.

Students were told to ask all of their teachers to see if they were interested in being the new sponsor. After a week of asking their teachers, the students found Tait, who says she doesn’t know too much about the club but is still ready to be the new sponsor. She was told that the club raises money by selling their duct tape creations, and she wants to continue to do that, now that she is in charge.

If students are interested in being a part of Duct Tape, talk to Tait. New club times are still yet to be determined.
