I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in first grade. It was hard to deal with because it feel like everyone looked at me differently than the normal person. It was hard to make friends because people were scared of me and it hurt to see that. Although it was hard, it provided me with the knowledge of who my real friends are.

People with bipolar disorder have a hard time in school with all the kids around and how they treat me and others that struggle with this disorder. I know I have a hard time in school because people try to get to me and I’m told to walk away.

But it is not that easy. The drugs they give for bipolar they don’t all help. I used to take a pill that would make me madder and the pill didn’t help with it. It made it worse so then I was taken off it.

It made my condition worse so then we took me off it. In the third grade, I was on a medicine patch and it was fine for the first week. It was going well, and then the second week of being on it, I overdosed. My mom took me to the hospital and the doctors took off the patch and discovered a big red spot on my back that almost killed me.

I was given medicine that didn’t help, it ended up worsening my bipolar disorder and more people need to be aware of this problem.
