In Fort Collins, CO, Mcdonald’s has taken charge and decided to buy breakfast for children K-8 grade, Wed. Sep. 9.

¨I mean it’s not healthy but at least they’re getting food,some people can’t even afford school lunch,¨ sophomore Jeanne Sowell said. She is one of many struggling kids who get free lunch at school.

Many kids go hungry every day because they have no money to get lunch for school. Their parents are too ¨proud¨ to sign up for free lunch, so their kids can eat a decent meal while they are at school. Sowell has struggled in her life  so she understands how it is not to be able to eat.

“I like Mcdonalds, and I understand not being able to afford food,¨ Sowell said.

Most children will starve until lunch comes around,and  sometimes they do not even eat lunch – starving until they return home.

“[this should be a] one time because kids in America are already fat,” Sowell said.
This is just one step closer to stopping world hunger. It may be a small step but at least we are moving. We need to get as much help as we can get, and not just in America. All around the world we are all in need of a better life and it is up to us to do it. We must stick together and make the world a better place together. The thought of a better place where all children and adults have cloths on there back , food in their tummy and a roof over their head seems a little far fetched but in time we can do it. America can do anything if we really put  our minds to it.
