Mad Max: Fury Road

Rachel Ellis, Editor-in-Chief

Mad Max: Fury Road is the fourth installment in the Mad Max movie series. The film takes place in a post apocalyptic wasteland after a nuclear war where vehicles have been weaponized. Max is a man with a troubled past, and is constantly on the run from scavengers who just happen to be insane mutants. Max is captured by the mutant scavengers and is brought back to their base to be a slave. He ends up escaping their clutches, and on the War Rig with the rogue warrior, Furiosa. Furiosa has taken it upon herself to help the war lord’s many wives escape from him. The war lord, Immortan Joe, is not very happy to find out that his many wives are missing, and goes after Furiosa and the gang with a fury that only an insane mutant with thousands of weaponized vehicles at his disposal can have.

I would recommend going to see this movie to anyone who loves action. Fury Road is 2 hours of explosions, gunfire, adventure, and jaw-dropping awesomeness that will have you hanging on the edge of your seat and wishing that the movie will never end. As someone who is a large fan of the entire series, I had high hopes for this movie; I was not disappointed. Not to my surprise, Mad Max: Fury Road has a higher rating than Avengers: Age of Ultron on critique websites such as IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, and Metacritic.
Fury Road isn’t only a hard-hitting action movie, but it also reaches deep emotionally. Anyone looking for a great movie experience is going to find one with this movie. I give it five out of five stars.
