School is Almost Over, Here are a Few Ways to Stay Focused

Devin Guttman, Staffer

Summer Break is right around the corner, and it is more tempting than ever for some students to go outside and spend time in the sun. The big question here is, how do students focus on school for 17 more days without letting nice weather and summer break distract students. There are a few ways to do it.

One of the easiest ways to avoid being distracted by summer is to really get into studying.

Studying is important, especially during these last few weeks of school, but according to http://www.academia21.com, “Sometimes, having to study so much means that your study practices are not as effective as they could be. Frequently studying into the small hours of the morning is not a healthy, effective use of time or very productive.”

Another way for students to stay focused for the next few weeks is learning how to balance a little bit of summer fun time into their school work. Block out summer no matter how hard it is. The end of the year is getting closer and closer everyday but finals are still yet to be taken, and for a lot of students, that should be their main focus. Its ok to enjoy the nice weather in moderation as long as students balance in as much if not more time to study and get ready for finals
With the end of the year near, some students might find it frustrating not to be able to enjoy the warmer weather. There are ways however, to get through the rest of the school year. Just stay focused.
