Spirit week started Monday Sept. 27, for Homecoming, and the students are yet again, going all out. The Seniors this year are not the dominant participators, which is definitely a change of tide for the school. Three  years ago, Seniors  would have been dominating the hallways with spirit.

This week the dress up days are America Monday, Blast From the Past Tuesday, Sports Wednesday, Day On the Beach Thursday, and Class Color Friday. Students have been talking about how the school should have a pajama day, beautiful landscape day, and a food day as part of a homecoming wee theme.

“I don’t like how we have class colors, I think we should have class categories like one class is all superhero, and another is all mythological gods or animals, but then that would destroy the purpose of the week,” said Junior Ashley Shearer.

“I think they should totally redo the Homecoming week. I think it’s old and repetitive and needs to be revamped.  I think that would get even the people who don’t like to dress up, dress up,”  said Junior Ryane Mckinney.

“I love Hoco week and I have ever since freshman year, I think it’s engaging and fun although they could make more decorations around the school to make the environment a bigger part of the week,” Jahira Davis said
