Having Fun and Staying Safe Indoors
Some ideas on having fun while being stuck indoors this weekend.
A snowstorm bringing around 7 to 14 inches in the Denver Metro Area will be here starting on Friday night. However, you do not have to be bored on the couch. Instead, here are some creative tips on having fun at home and staying safe.
- Invent or try new recipes- Not being able to go outside to play in the snow sucks but it does not have to. Let your creative side loose and see what you can make. Try: Vegan Pad Thai from peta2. http://www.peta2.com/recipes/easy-vegan-pad-thai/
- Stock up on necessities on Friday- Friday is when the chaotic weather will start with some light rain so go out before it’s too dangerous. The snow will continue until Sunday night. A warm and comfortable necessity are fuzzy blankets
- Do not leave cars outside- Your car will get some serious damage if left outside including, shattered windows, dented cars, etc.
- Do not leave your home- For those who go to the gym, I recommend making a fun workout routine at home.
- Make a goal collage- Collect clips and pictures of anything that you can see yourself doing in the future from old or new magazines and paste them on a poster board. This is a fun and creative way to motivate you to achieve your goals without breaking the bank.
- DIYs- DIY’s are a creative and cheap way to do anything. There are so many possibilities of DIYs including DIY makeup (use Youtube and Pinterest), DIY room makeover and a DIY phone case.

I love the article because it gave a lot of things to do whether you are snowed in or not. Since I am in New York, I am not snowed in but I am certainly thinking about trying the Vegan Pad Thai.

Thanks for the tips. I hope the weather won’t be as bad as predicted. If it is, I’ve got plenty to do indoors now that I’ve stockpiled food. Now I’m just worried about my dogs not wanting to go outside – UGH!
