National Teacher Appreciation Day is always the first Tuesday of May. It’s time to say “Thank You” to the special teachers that work an average of 53 hours. Fast Food restaurants are trying to show the same appreciation by giving teachers free or discounted food.

Chipotle: Visit any U.S. Chipotle location from 3 p.m. till closing and receive a buy one get one free burrito, bowl, salad, or order of tacos by presenting valid school ID.

Chick-Fil-A on Parker: On May 6, a one time only free entree with school ID

Einstein Bros. Bagels: Teachers can save 20 percent through May 5 

English teacher Renee Eakins will be participating in the Chipolte deal and is enjoying all the perks of being a teacher, “I [like] all the free food we get from PDCO, and we got a free bagel and cream cheese from Panera,” Eakins said.

Most students don’t even know it’s Teacher Appreciation Day “ I think that AVID [students] and certain groups know. I think that [if students] knew they say ‘Thank you’ I think that would be nice,”  Eakins said.

Teachers go get those deals, and students say ‘Thank you’ to your teacher!
