Smoky Holds a Miracle Minute for Arapaho High School

On Friday, 13, 2013 Smoky Hill, along with other schools in the district, went on a perimeter watch because of a shooting at Arapahoe High School. The shooter left (Arapahoe senior) Claire Davis in a coma before taking his own life.

With Claire Davis in critical condition, Smoky Hill has decided to do a Miracle Minute with all of the money raised going towards Claire Davis and her family. The Miracle Minute will take place on Thursday, Dec. 19. Along with the minute, Smoky also had students sign a Warrior Banner that was given to Arapahoe High School to show support.

Miracle Minutes at Smoky are typically a success, and students are looking forward to raising money for Claire Davis and her family. Freshmen Evan Damato is eager to contribute and see how much Smoky can raise.

”I was going to have my parents give me some money to give to the Miracle Minute,” Damato said. “It’s awesome that Smoky is doing this”

The Miracle Minute will be held during 2R Thursday december 19.
