Eating should provide students’ bodies with energy, so the foods that are high in sugar would make you tired as written in an article by Livestrong . Finding the cause of what makes students tired is step one, step two should be adjusting one’s diet to include foods that will give energy and mental lucidity. http://www.livestrong.com/article/411628-foods-that-make-you-tired/

Students need food from home and school that will provide the necessary energy to keep them going throughout the day, not fast food like Burger King. According to Fast Food Nutrition, Burger King’s Double Whopper sandwich contains 900 calories, 57g of total fat, 140 mg of cholesterol, 1050 mg of sodium, and 11g of sugar.

Ohio State University came out with an article written by Marciene Mattleman giving data from a group of 1700 students at the age of 10 measuring how much fast food the students were eating, and they compared the consumption levels with test results in reading, science and math. 20% of the students who ate fast food daily scored lower than those who did not eat fast food daily.

Students who eat fast food daily should think about making a change in diet so that they do better in school and have more energy throughout the day.
