Duct Tape Club
A club students might want to stick with.
There are many popular clubs at Smoky hill high school, but Duct Tape club, however, is not very well known. Duct Tape club is not a competitive club, it is all for fun. During the club, students would make dresses, and other accessories completely out of tape. Duct Tape club is one of the few art clubs at our school. Jennifer Funell, the previous sponsor of the club, says the kids who do attend absolutely love it.
Funnel sponsored Duct Tape club since the beginning of the school year until now. She also teaches other visual art classes, such as photography, drawing and painting, drawing and design, and advanced studio. Funell said that she enjoyed being the sponsor of Duct Tape club. “It really ties in with visual arts, which is what I teach,” Funell said.
“There is a group of students who like to create different things out of duct tape, so they would make certain items and have mini fashion shows with them,” Funell said.
Currently there is no current sponsor for Duct Tape club, but if students just want to have fun and be creative, the club meets every Monday from 2:45 to 4:00 PM after school.
