Drama+board+elections

Now that the drama club has finished their productions of ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ and ‘Rent,’ and the year is coming to an end, it’s time to decide who’ll be chosen to help run the club for the upcoming year. The group is holding drama club elections for the actors and crew. Members of the drama club can nominate each other for club president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and lots of other special roles, too.

These roles will be taken up by students to help both the club and the class run more efficiently. For a student to be elected, they must be a member of the club and nominated by at least one other member. Then, they have the option to accept or decline the nomination and move onto the voting.

“Every year in drama club, we have elections for different positions to help drama club move more smoothly. If you’re elected, it’s your job to help and make sure everything goes well. If you were nominated and accepted the nomination, you’ll give a speech in two weeks and wait for people to vote, or, if you don’t want to, you can just stay in drama as a regular member. Then we’ll announce the nominations at the next meeting,” Keaton Cantrell, sophomore, said. “The seniors on the drama board are graduating, but they’re leaving it in good hands. Regardless of who’s elected, we all want what’s best for the club. We all put a lot of work into the program and all of our performances.”
