During second period Wed, Sep 23  CU Boulder hosted an event located in The Lecture Center. It was open to all junior and senior high school students that were interested. They discussed topics such as majors, the campus, food , dorm rooms, transportation, acceptance rates, and requirements when it comes to applying to their college.

“I learned a lot about the campus, It was a good opportunity and it made me feel better with their acceptance rates because I want to go there and I was worried that I wouldn’t qualify for certain things,” Junior Lynsey Robertson said .

According to Susan Connally, the college comes to Smoky Hill annually, around the fall time to talk juniors and seniors.

“It makes me want to do better grade wise, it opened eyes to the decisions that i make and time is running out so it makes me realize that i don’t have any time to waste so it’s time to buckle down,” said Robertson, but overall i’d say i was a really good experience. “ I also got a chance to learn about all the great things they have to offer,” Robertson said

According to Robertson, CU welcomes juniors and seniors students from all high schools to come and experience a day of college and get a feel for a typical college student daily routine, “They provide a tour around the campus, a taste of what lunch is like and much more,” Robertson said.
