Nothing to do this Summer? Consider volunteering. Between June 8th through July 27th Independence Elementary school needs student volunteers to help with a Summer reading program every wednesday morning from 9:00-10:30 a.m. This is a great opportunity to not only earn Honors, IB NHS, or CAS community service hours for next school year, but also make a great college application essay. There are posters giving out information needed, displayed in the halls and walls near the staircases.
