CCSD and Metro-State University pair up to teach high schools about aviation

plane-single-prop-hiMetro-State College and CCSD have announced the only college preparatory program in the state of Colorado that focuses solely on aviation. The program, which will give high school students dual high school and college credit, will start during the 2014-2015 school year.

The course can accept up to 20 students for fall 2014. Students who pass will earn six credits towards their aviation major at MSU Denver.

The program follows up on various programs that are designed by colleges to lower the costs of tuition. These programs, like the one announced by MSU Denver, give students the opportunity to save on tuition costs by earning college credit before graduating from high school.

The aviation course is open to students from Douglas County, Englewood, Littleton and Sheridan.
