Buff Puff Volleyball is Coming Up

Kayla Cushing, Staffer

Buff Puff volleyball will begin Sep. 28 at 7P.M. Buff Puff is a game of volleyball where boys play, and the girls coach. There can be two to three girl coaches and there can only be six-ten boy players per team. They have to play fair, and be dressed appropriately – meaning they can’t wear speedos or anything of the sort.  The players and coaches can not argue with the ref.

“There’s nothing I don’t like about the rules,” sophomore James Bowers said.

Bowers is participating in Buff Puff this year, and It’s not his first time playing. He played last year as well.

“[I am] kinda just going out there and have fun, [it is] not too serious of a game,” Bowers said. Bowers enjoys the game of volleyball, and takes the opportunity of playing when he can.

“My coaches are Emilee Roberts and Adriana Pena,” Bowers said. Bowers encourages his friends to join his team.

As a player herself, Yuma Mays is coaching her team this year in Buff Puff. Mays plays for Smoky volleyball, and because she plays this helps her understand the rules. Mays is excited to see how her team will do this year.
