Causes of Car Crashes

Nowadays there are too many car accidents. Who do we blame, the driver or the vehicle itself? Drunk driving, speeding and distracted driving are the three top reasons for car accidents to occur.

Most car accidents happen because of DUIs, or driving under the influence of alcohol or any type of drugs. Alcohol is involved in about 40 percent of all fatal car crashes.

The streets are hazardous enough without drunk people and bad drivers. People do not understand the importance of being safe on the road and following the law.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, injury is decreasing over the years, yet property damage is increasing. Also the fatal rates are high which has been proven to be caused by texting and talking on the phone while driving.

There is not much we can do to stop car crashes from occur other than be careful while driving and try to get around the obstacles people face during crashes. I believe a solution could be to follow the rules and not speed, drink or text while driving, or at the very least tighten the enforcement of these laws.0031
