Senior, Maddie Siemer who recently committed to play softball at the Colorado School of Mines, recorded three total strikeouts with a batting average of .667 in the win.

Junior, Mattie Kennedy was the selected Player of the Game in Wednesday’s win against Overland.

“We’ve played very well this season due to all of the hard work that we put in each and everyday, and with the help from our amazing coaching staff, I feel like we will continue to improve as a team and the results will only get better from this point on”, Junior, Malena Murillo said.

Smoky looks to improve on their 9-7 record.

“I’m really happy about how the team is playing and how much we have  improved over the last few years. I wouldn’t want any other team on the field with me for my last year, because we play for each other and the name on our backs. I’m sad that it’s my last year, but I’m trying my best to leave everything on the field,” Senior, Stephanie Alfaro Montes said.

The Softball team will look to capture another conference win, when they take on the Arapahoe Warriors this Saturday.
