Dak Prescott or Tony Romo

Cowboys have a decision to make…

Jair Thompson, Staffer

In his third preseason game quarterback Tony Romo stepped onto the field fresh from  injury ready to take some snaps. His back up Dak Prescott sat patiently on the sideline not expecting to play much sense Romo was back.

Half way through the second quarter, Romo took a hit from from star defensive end Cliff Avril and broke a bone in his back. After Romo’s injury the cowboys had no choice other than put their trust into rookie quarterback, Dak Prescott.

After losing their first game (19-20) to the New York Giants, Cowboys fans were very worried expecting another bad season. Now the Cowboys are 8-1 and quarterback Romo is back so who do the Cowboys choose.

The Cowboys should go with quarterback Dak Prescott, because he has the chemistry with the team right now, and he is 8-1 as an NFL quarterback. Dak prescott has beaten teams this season such as the Eagles, the Redskins, and the Steelers with all star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Prescott is also ranked amongst the top 10 quarterbacks in the league and he has a 14:2 touchdown to interception ratio which is phenomenal for any quarterback let alone a rookie. Dak has shown he deserves this spot and I think there should be no way that the Cowboys don’t give it to him.

Dak is prepared himself very well for the season and has a veteran in Tony Romo to learn from when he comes of the field, and Romo already showed the he supports whatever decision that the Cowboys make. Which he himself expects to be Prescott, but he’s prepared just in case it’s not.
