KFC ( a fast food chain company) is introducing a new product, the Scoff-ee Cup. The cup is 100% edible for customers to snack on after they drink their morning cup of Joe. After a customer finishes his or her drink, they can eat the entire cup that the coffee came in.

According to usatoday.com, the cup is made from a wafer-like biscuit that is then wrapped in sugar paper and lined with heat resistant white chocolate. As the customer drinks from the cup, the white chocolate slowly begins to melt. KFC is trying to come up with more flavors and a variety of edible cups to offer their customers. 

The cup is not on sell yet, but the restaurant chain is making advancements to introducing the new cups to KFC customers in the UK. KFC also does not currently know how many calories the new Scoff-ee cup will have along with the coffee the customer chooses. 

The new cup is also an advancement towards trying to reduce the amount of trash that customers throw away once they are done with their meals. As a whole, the USA has a recycling rate of 34.5%, which is better than some other countries around the world. 

The company is also working on infusing an aroma in the cups which will give customers a warm happy feeling.There are no plans to bring the Scoff-ee cup to the USA anytime soon.

“I would try it,” junior Leelie Lyassu said. “If it keeps me up and active in the morning and also if it [the Scoff-ee cup] tastes really good after a cup of coffee.”
