The sweet 16 of the NCAA Men’s March Madness tournament begins today, March 26. Eight teams will play today while the other eight play on Friday, March 27.
There are 11.57 million brackets on http://espn.go.com/ and most of the brackets are busted. If you are a person with a busted bracket go to
http://games.espn.go.com/second-chance-bracket/2015/en/bracket for a second chance bracket starting at the sweet 16.
An extremely favored number 1-seed Kentucky who was picked to win in 48 percent of the 11.57 million brackets will play an underdog 5-seed West Virginia who was picked in 0.2 percent of the brackets in a highly anticipated game to see if almost half of all the brackets are busted. Kentucky’s five starting NBA draft prospects will face off against West Virginias five business majors but there is always a chance at an upset.
There are many other interesting games going on this week as an 11-seed UCLA team who many thought didn’t deserve to make the tournament will play a 2-seed Gonzaga. UCLA is now in the sweet 16 after beating 6-seed SMU in a very controversial goaltending call and beating 14-seed UAB.
This years sweet 16 will prove to be very interesting and hopes to be as exciting as the other tournament rounds.
