Today, December 8, through Wish Week, Student Government will have a booth in the Activities Hall where students can go to donate money for Andalyn, Smoky’s wish kid this year. The booth open during both lunches and anyone can donate. There will be a competition between the classes to see who can make the most money by donating. The class that makes the most money will get free Jimmy Johns.

This booth will not be the only opportunity to donate to Make a Wish. Many opportunities will occur allowing students to donate money to Andalyn’s cause. Smoky is hoping to grant her wish to send her to Disney World.

 the student running the booth, hopes to beat the $ 28,000  donated last year. “Our goal for wish week this year is $ 35,000 , so hopefully many people donate for this cause, and also we should remember that any amount of money counts,” Fredrick said.

Student Government will have many opportunities to donate money in case students can not make it to the booth, including an ice skating night, and they are also trying to get restaurants to donate some proceeds to make a wish as well. The money made from the winter dance will also be going to Make-A-Wish.
