Smoky Digital Arts Showcase
Smoky represents their digital arts and technology program
April 29, 2016
Calling out to all digital art fanatics. Friday April, 29 Smoky Hill was showcasing over 50 different projects students pursued over the school year in room 1-814 all day. Visitors will be viewing 3-D animation, childrens storybooks, robots and more! Smoky will also be hosting an open house for family and staff members after school until six p.m.
Students Garrett Iverson and Eashan Sahai, both freshman, worked together to build a robotic satyr. “We’re doing robots together,” Garrett said. “Specifically TSA animatronics, but we’ll be doing more next year. My favorite part was staying late after school working on it together.”
But it doesn’t end there, Smoky’s team participated in a competition last summer in Boulder. “We got second place last year,” Eashan said. “We represent Smoky’s digital arts and technology. My favorite part was going to the TSA competition and hanging with my friends that day.”
