On Thursday, May 15, 2014, SHHS’ bell schedule will be shortened due to the Senior Exit assembly. The Senior Exit assembly is when all lower classmen move to the seats where they will be seating next year in the gym.“This is so exciting, and sad because I have countless memories in Smoky Hill,” senior Lynn Vady said.

Each class period will be shortened in order to fit in the assembly and still end school at the regular time. The assembly will be in  the West gym after fourth period on Thursday. “Its exciting to leave in a memorable way,” Vady said, “and for every student next year, live the moment and expect time to go by quickly.”

All students will begin school at regular time but will end earlier. The schedule for Thursday is as follows:

Period 1G            7:10-8:26

Period 2G            8:32-9:49

Period 3G            9:56-11:52

Period 4G            11:59-1:15

Assembly             1:25-:230

Each class will be 76 to 77 minutes long and lunches will be 40 minutes long.Thursday will be a green day. There are posters in classes and around the school that have this schedule as well. Schedules are also printed and posted on the dean’s window for students to have.
