Smoky Hill students have started a new club which helps all kinds of students get into the school spirit. P.U.L.L club, which stands for passion, unity, leadership and learning, is a student-run club that promotes students to change the school and community attitudes to be more positive and interactive.

Junior Dylan Powers is one of the students who helps run the club. “I created this club so that we can improve on general school spirit,” Powers said. “So people would actually be excited to go to school.”

On Friday, Dec. 19, P.U.L.L is going to cheer at the home basketball game, versus Rocky Mountain, and give out free t-shirts. These t-shirts will not represent the club, but it will represent the school.

“I want to get a wide range of people to go to the games, choir concerts, and the band concerts,” Powers said. “ So everyone in our school feels like they’re represented equally.”

The P.U.L.L club meets on Wednesdays and Fridays at 2:40 to talk about how they can help with school spirit and the community around them.

“We get a wide variety of people,” Powers said. “Especially since we have a Wednesday and a Friday crowd.”

Courtney Eaton, the club’s sponsor, is excited for this club. “I only watch over the club since it is student run,” Eaton said. “But I fully support the club and what they are trying to do for the school in all.”

Although the club is new to Smoky, Powers is hopeful that it will still be going on even after he graduates.
“I want to leave my legacy to someone good,” Powers said. “And we’re just going to make this school the best at spirit.”
