Is The Drama Really Worth it?

Confronting the drama head on.

Kayla Cushing, Staffer

In today’s society how far will teenagers go to destroy another’s emotional and physical stability? In some cases male and females will reach great lengths to destroy the victim’s confidence, image, and integrity. Some individuals will go above and beyond just to see the effects that they have caused.

Most of these situations are taken so far it destroys the victim’s spirits. These kind of situations are unnecessary and unwanted. Most of these spats are over small petty private situations but are blown out of proportion, like girls fighting over boys, rumors, other friends, and jealousy.

Boys have the same issue, but just in different ways, like polls to see whose better, girls, and sharing inappropriate pictures. Boys start just as much drama and rumors as girls. Anyone can be a target for these problems, and many will take great lengths to expose these problems, and make them bigger than they were suppose to be.

Teenagers will try to destroy each other physically and mentally without worrying about the problems this may cause. The effects on the victim can be traumatizing especially how far things can be taken. The victim’s spirit and confidence can be severely damaged. This kind of damage can cause emotional issues like, suicidal thoughts, physical harm, terminal behavior, and receding social behavior.

It is so easy to cause drama about nothing and make it something, just to cause problems. Teenagers can manipulate their victims surrounding and cause tremendous trouble. The problem with this is that it is an ongoing battle even though there is a non-bully policy. Adults trying to help teenagers will go around the system and cause more problems for the victim. Teenagers have an act for causing drama and going above and beyond just to cause problems and issues.

These actions should be stopped. The longer these actions are still going on the worst the drama may get. We can’t get rid of  the social media apps like facebook, snapchat, twitter, instagram, ect, but  teenasgers should just stop tearing each other down. Building someone up feels better plus their day was made just by being nice and saying something nice.
