Introducing All Cultures to Students
World Awareness
World Awareness Days are when students from Smoky Hill High School present a powerpoint or other presentation about their country or their culture.
World Awareness begins Mar. 27 and 28. Students can either talk about their own country or another country both individually and with their friends.
Forms are due Fri., Mar. 7. Students will receive an email confirming the time of the presentation and to clarify the information on the application. “I love World Awareness. I think that it is necessary since everyone has a story to to tell, an argument to win, and an injustice to shed on,” sophomore Ismaat Klaibou said.
World Awareness centers on teaching students about different ethnicities and cultures. “I have done this for the past two years and it is great,” klaibou said, “ We need to see and learn from those things because our world is not perfect.
